CNN’s Valentine’s Day: Boy, 3, on fire runs into tree crying for mom

I am really noticing a trend in online media. Right to the top of the food chain (or bottom, as the case may be) the big websites are pushing more video-linked headlines, and the subject matter is getting more and more disturbing. CNN today ran the following headline linked to a video: Boy, 3, on fire runs into tree crying for mom.

I didn’t click. I don’t want to see a 3 year old child being burned. Am I alone in this? Do people really want to see this?

I’ll admit it. I rented Jackass II. These idiots crack me up. Not as much in II as in I, but they still cracked me up. But that’s all staged. A little boy being burned is not entertainment, CNN.

Shame.
