Scientists working with monkeys have achieved an amazing result that allows the monkeys to control mechanical devices with their thoughts alone. The one gotcha is the monkeys’ thought patterns were studied while using a joystick to perform the same actions. A computer program monitored and quantified the monkeys’ thought patterns as they manipulated the joysticks. The scientists then disconnected the joysticks and the devices kept moving via thoughts alone.
