A new energy strategy seems to present a realistic way to transition US dependence on foreign oil, and thereby reduce the impulse of neocons to attack other countries for their oil. Have a look at the Apollo Alliance Website. It’s not the ultimate soilution, of course, but it does seem to be a reasoned approach to transition without unworkable disruption.
