More Systematic Lying

A group of Nobel laureates have taken the time to point out the ongoing lies of the Bush administration. The lying involves a distortion of facts in the service of a corrupt policy agenda that has global impact. We should thank these scientists for taking the initiative instead of just “taking it.”

War on Civilians

The Bush Administration’s phoney war on Terror (a lazy label, to be sure) has now killed 13,000 civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. That’s four times the number of US civilians killed since and including 9/11. The Iraq Body Count website provides the details. The number is generated from a survey of mostly non-north american media reports. Its interesting that, since the US Military “doesn’t do body counts,” we don’t hear the number reported. The number is well documented. It isn’t a question of verification. I guess mainstream media outlets think it will just make people feel uncomfortable to know this particular fact, and therefore change the channel to programming that will make them feel better.

About Me

I am a new communications technology pro by trade, an activist at heart. I care deeply about the health of my family and work hard to contribute to solutions to the great challenges of our day such as climate change and an out-of-control food system. I am a bon vivant, artist, writer and wannabe musician. I deeply appreciate my friends and colleagues and all the creativity and knowledge they bring. I hope I am always learning from them.
